Hamid Saahir & Associates, PLLC is expanding its virtual team and seeks a skilled Legal Accounting Assistant to help manage the firm’s financial and administrative operations. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with attorneys on complex civil litigation and personal injury matters while contributing to the financial organization and success of the firm.

Hamid Saahir & Associates, PLLC is a civil litigation and personal injury law firm with offices in Washington, D.C. and Indianapolis, Indiana. The firm represents clients in wrongful death, premises liability, and civil rights cases across multiple jurisdictions. Position Overview
The ideal candidate has both legal and accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and excellent attention to detail. A Juris Doctor (JD) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) background are highly preferred. This is a remote position requiring professionalism, confidentiality, and reliability in managing sensitive financial data.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and reconcile trust and operating accounts in compliance with U.S. professional conduct and accounting standards.
Prepare and review financial reports, balance sheets, and expense summaries.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments and client reimbursements.
Organize and maintain digital financial and case files for accuracy and accessibility.
Draft monthly and quarterly financial reports for attorney review.
Support settlement accounting, lien reconciliation, and disbursement tracking.
Coordinate with attorneys and staff to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree preferred; Accounting degree required.
CPA certification or equivalent credential strongly preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or legal administration (law firm experience a plus).
Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and document management systems.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Excellent organization, accuracy, and time management abilities.
Reliable internet connection and availability during U.S. business hours (EST or CST).
