About the Role
Reports to: Operations Manager
We’re seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Assistant Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a fast-growing Airbnb cleaning business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing moving parts, communicating with multiple stakeholders, and maintaining high operational standards in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
This position is perfect for a systems thinker who enjoys pairing data and finance analysis with an AI-first approach to operations. You’ll play a key role in coordinating cleaning schedules, tracking project updates, maintaining financial records, and supporting the overall efficiency of a multi-city operation.
Your job is to run and actively oversee the automation systems that power daily operations — ensuring the scheduling, communication, and reporting systems are all functioning seamlessly. You’ll combine smart use of software and AI with your own operational judgment — reviewing cleaning photos in Breezeway, catching scheduling conflicts before they happen, and keeping everything aligned between cleaners and property managers.
The ideal candidate is confident, resourceful under pressure, and experienced in cleaning
operations for Airbnb or short-term rentals. This is a hands-on, fast-moving role that blends
systems management with human oversight to keep operations performing at their best.
Key Responsibilities
• Daily Operations Oversight: Manage day-to-day cleaning operations to ensure schedules, standards, and deliverables are met consistently.
• Automation & Software Management: Actively monitor and manage AI-powered scheduling tools, task systems, and analytics dashboards, troubleshooting or refining as needed to keep workflows smooth.
• Quality Control: Review property photos and reports in Breezeway, verify cleanliness standards, and coordinate any re-cleans or follow-ups.
• Scheduling & Coordination: Organize cleaner schedules, adjust for late checkouts or same-day turnovers, and communicate updates promptly.
• Financial & Data Analysis: Tag transactions, process invoices, reconcile accounts, and analyze operational data to identify trends and improve forecasting.
• Team & Client Communication: Serve as a liaison among cleaners and property managers (clients) to ensure efficient communication and timely issue resolution.
• Process Improvement: Help document workflows, build SOPs, and identify opportunities to streamline operations and integrate AI-driven efficiencies as the business scales.
• Operational Support: Proactively step in to address challenges, resolve issues, and maintain alignment between systems, vendors, and people
Qualifications
• Experience leveraging AI tools or data-driven systems to improve efficiency and decision-making.
• 2–3 years of experience in cleaning operations for Airbnb or short-term rentals

Experience in property management may be considered if it involved direct coordination with cleaning teams, turnovers, and guest scheduling.
• Proven track record managing daily operations, schedules, and deliverables in a fast-paced service environment
• Hands-on experience using software for scheduling, task tracking, or quality control (e.g., Breezeway, Turno, or similar)
• Strong organizational and communication skills — able to coordinate across multiple cities, cleaners, and clients
• Experience with financial tracking, invoicing, payroll, and transaction tagging
• Background in finance or accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
• Ability to work independently in a remote, deadline-driven environment
• Reliable, proactive, and solutions-oriented
Preferred Skills
• Leadership or project management experience in operations, property management, or hospitality
• Strong experience in AI-assisted workflows and automation tools
• Experience improving SOPs and operational systems
• Background in customer service or client relations
Compensation & Schedule
• Hourly Rate: $7-9/hr (based on experience)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST
• Full-Time: 40 hours per week
