Social Media Marketing Specialist

? Skills & Knowledge VA Should Have:

1. Social Media Strategy
Understanding of company brand, target audience, and visual identity. This is an Interior Design company.
Ability to create a social media calendar and content plan.
Familiarity with the best times to post for engagement.
Knowledge of competitor research and trend analysis.

2. Content Creation
Graphic design skills (using Canva, Adobe Express, etc.)
Ability to repurpose blog content, project highlights, testimonials, etc.
Strong sense of design, color, and composition (important for interior design visuals), using all brand guildelines set by the Interior Design company.
Experience with Instagram Reels, Stories, and TikTok (in the future).

3. Platform Knowledge
Instagram (main platform for interior design)

Facebook
Pinterest
LinkedIn
TikTok (in the future)
Additional Platforms include: NKBA, ASID

4. Copywriting & Caption Writing
Crafting engaging, on-brand captions
Use of hashtags and geotags effectively
Ability to write compelling calls-to-action (CTAs)

5. Community Engagement
Responding to comments and DMs professionally
Engaging with other accounts (liking, commenting, sharing)
Growing your following organically

6. Analytics & Reporting
Using platform insights or tools (like Meta Business Suite, Later, or Buffer)
Monthly performance reports with metrics (reach, engagement, growth)
Ability to adjust strategy based on analytics

7. Tools & Software (ideally proficient in):
Canva / Adobe Creative Suite
Later / Planoly / Buffer / Hootsuite (for scheduling)
Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
Notion / Trello / Asana (project management)
ChatGPT (for brainstorming content ideas, captions, etc.)

8. Bonus:
Familiarity with interior design terminology and aesthetics
Basic video editing (for reels/stories)

Email marketing knowledge (Mailchimp, Flodesk, etc.)
