Fullstack Developer (Typescript / React / NodeJs / AWS)

We’re a fast-moving, London-Cebu based, early-stage startup building AI tools for marketers and creators - and we’re looking for a Fullstack Developer to join our small, technical team full-time.

You’ll work directly with the founders to design and build new features in our AI-driven platform - from backend logic to frontend functionality. This is a role for a builder: someone who enjoys taking ownership, shipping fast, and solving real product problems end-to-end.

What you’ll be doing
- Designing, developing, and maintaining fullstack features in an existing, semi-mature product
- Implementing RESTful APIs and microservices in Node.js + TypeScript, connected to a React frontend
- Working with LLMs and vector databases to build AI-powered features such as semantic search, recommendations, and chat-style features
- Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Collaborating with product and design team to ensure logical UX flows (buttons and features must exist and work - no pixel perfection needed)
- Participating in technical discussions and suggesting improvements to architecture and code quality

What you won’t be doing
- DevOps / Infrastructure: You won’t manage deployment pipelines, AWS infrastructure, or CI/CD
- UI/UX Design: You don’t need to focus on visual design - functionality is the priority

What we’re looking for
- Strong experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js
- Working knowledge of AWS Lambda, SQS, S3 and Step Functions
- Familiarity with SQL and relational database design
- Experience building REST APIs and connecting them to frontends
- Understanding of LLMs, embeddings, and vector similarity search
- Comfortable working independently and communicating clearly in English

Nice to have
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines or DevOps practices
- Familiarity with embeddings, vector similarity metrics and vector databases
- Previous experience working in a startup or small team environment

Details
- Full-time, 40 hours per week (remote)
- Flexible schedule, but consistent daily hours
- Salary: $2,500 USD/month
- Fully remote

Our Hiring Process
We keep our hiring process simple and transparent. Here’s what to expect:
1. Short application

2. Technical application (max 3 hours)
You’ll receive access to a short, focused brief to be completed (90 minutes). We’ll ask for a GitHub link and a short Loom walkthrough (5 minutes) to explain your approach.
We’re not testing how much you can code - we’re looking at how you think, structure, and communicate your approach.
We’ll also give you a demo account for our product and ask you to re-imagine a specific feature (15 minutes).
You’ll meet our CTO to walk through your submission, discuss tradeoffs, and explore how you’d re-imagine our product feature (45 minutes)
3. Culture & fit chat (max 1 hour)
You’ll chat with the founders about how we work, communicate, and collaborate. We care as much about mindset and initiative as technical skill.
