Production merchant

Just Funky, a leading pop culture lifestyle company, is seeking an experienced Production Merchant to manage product development and manufacturing with our China-based vendors and suppliers. We design and produce a wide range of licensed and trend-driven products, including home goods, drinkware, accessories, collectibles, and lifestyle merchandise.

Responsibilities include:

Vendor & Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with factories, mills, and raw material suppliers. Negotiate costs, lead times, and capacity allocations. Identify and onboard new vendors as needed.

Costing & Budgeting: Analyze and manage production costs to ensure profitability. Collaborate with finance teams on approvals and payment tracking.

Production Planning & Execution: Oversee end-to-end production, ensuring timely delivery and smooth coordination with vendors and suppliers. Monitor schedules and proactively resolve bottlenecks.

Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure all products meet quality standards and compliance requirements. Conduct quality checks, resolve issues, and implement improvements with QA teams.

Logistics & Order Fulfillment: Manage shipments, dispatch planning, and labeling requirements to ensure on-time delivery. Troubleshoot delays and provide solutions.

Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with design, merchandising, and sales teams to align production with customer needs. Provide timely updates to customers and senior management.

Reporting & Documentation: Maintain production reports, vendor performance tracking, and quality documentation.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in production management with China-based factories.

Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and vendor relationships.

Experience in consumer goods, lifestyle, or licensed product categories is a plus.
