Video Editor (Adobe Premiere + After Effects)

We’re looking for a reliable and creative video editor who knows their way around the Adobe Suite, specifically Premiere Pro and After Effects (with Photoshop and Illustrator being a plus).

Video editing should be your main skill set.

This isn’t basic CapCut or Canva editing. We need someone who can take raw footage and turn it into something clean, modern, and worth watching. Employment with us will depend on a test project, with terms being discussed up front. This test project will be the major d ---------- factor on if we can work together.

You’ll be working on a mix of projects, some short and some long form, across different industries. Sometimes you’ll get a full script to follow, other times it’ll be a long interview that needs to be cut down into a tight 2 to 5ish-minute story.

You’ll always get clear notes, sometimes receive reference videos, and constructive feedback to help guide the edit.

You’ll also be using AI tools as part of your workflow. I’ve built systems and processes to make editing faster and easier with AI, and I these will be shared with you to use. But to be clear, AI can't do the work for you.

When we have had applicants use only AI for test projects, it has been very clear. AI is there to give you a head start but you’ll still need to shape, refine, and polish the final video so it fits the story, the tone, and the quality we’re known for.

Creativity and originality in how you approach edits, motion graphics, and light motion animation, and pacing in storytelling are a huge plus.

Communication is a big deal here. Before starting, you should be able to tell how long you think a project will take. If things are running behind, just let us know early. We’d rather have a quick heads-up than radio silence.

We also are very happy to teach and help you refine your skills. If you have a solid foundation and are excited to learn more, then this will be a great fit.

Once you’ve shown that you’re consistent and reliable, you’ll have a lot of freedom and a low-stress environment to work in. We want this to be a place where you actually enjoy the work.

You’ll need to:
• Edit videos using proxy files in Premiere Pro and After Effects
• Understand English well enough to piece together a good story from raw footage
• Take feedback and apply it, not just to that project but to future ones too
• Communicate about timelines and updates clearly
• Bring a creative touch to each video with text effects, pacing, and storytelling
• Use AI tools effectively, but always refine and mold the final video with your own creative judgment
• Show originality in your edits and be confident trying new things that make videos stand out
