Part-time Full-stack Developer (Next.js + FastAPI)

Hi there! My name is Elias and I am looking for a full-stack developer that can join our startup in building an educational platform for students in Denmark. Our current stack consists of:

- Next.js 15 (App Router), React, Node 18+
- FastAPI (Python 3.12), PostgreSQL, Redis
- Docker, Traefik, Keycloak (OIDC)
- GitHub, CI, Linux server (docker compose)

We are just getting started so you will have a lot of freedom in decision-making when it comes to architectural design, technologies, and so forth. This also implies responsibilities which we hope you will embrace with humility and open-mindedness. It is a plus if you also have some experience working with DevOps and Git, as we are currently building the very foundation on which the platform will run. At our startup we want to do meaningful work and have meaningful relationships. We hope you feel the same way.

Here are some of the initial tasks so you can get a sense of what you will do:

- Implement auth flow (Keycloak OIDC) in Next.js and protect pages by role (admin/teacher/student).
- Build admin pages (/admin) for managing courses/lessons.
- Add API endpoints in FastAPI (typed, tested) + Postgres models & migrations.
- Containerize and ship via docker compose (dev/prod) behind Traefik.
- Help improve DX: linting (ruff), typing (mypy), tests (pytest), basic CI.
