Full-Time Creative Copywriter – Fitness, Travel & Maui Lifestyle

Type: Full-Time (3-Month Contract)

About the Role

We’re hiring a funny, clever, and experienced writer to create magazine-quality SEO-friendly blog content centered on fitness, travel, and Maui culture.
Your mission: make readers laugh, think, and feel connected to the Maui Powerhouse Gym brand through storytelling that blends intelligence, humor, and authenticity.

You’ll be writing long-form, editorial-style articles—pieces that could appear in Men’s Health, Travel + Leisure, or Outside Magazine—but with an unmistakable Maui voice.

What You’ll Do

Produce 3–5 original, high-impact articles per week that inform, entertain, and convert.

Write about:
We will feed you a variety of topics and you can find similar topics and content on the web. Articles will predominantly be SEO-convertible for search topics focusing on: Fitness and gym culture on Maui, Local travel, adventure, and island lifestyle,
Health and wellness stories with humor and insight, food & drink on Maui, travel activities on Maui, teen wellness on Maui, etc.

Research local topics and trends to craft timely, relevant stories.

Maintain consistent brand tone and editorial polish across all posts.

Collaborate directly with ownership on story concepts and strategy.

Requirements

Full-time availability for the next 3 months.

3+ years of professional writing experience (magazine, journalism, or branded content).

Portfolio that demonstrates voice, humor, and storytelling craft.

Excellent command of English and impeccable editing skills.

Strong familiarity with fitness, travel, or Hawaii-related subjects.

Ability to blend creative narrative with subtle conversion copy.

Compensation
