Gumtree Kids is a Brisbane-based sensory play business offering workshops, pop-up play sessions, and educational resources for families, schools, and community centers. We create hands-on, nature-inspired experiences that help children learn through play. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a creative and motivated person to help share our story, grow our community, and support our online presence.


About the Role
We’re looking for a Marketing & Community Engagement Assistant to help manage and grow our digital marketing, email campaigns, and social presence.
This role is perfect for someone who’s confident in Canva, has a flair for storytelling, and loves connecting with families, schools, and educators.
You’ll work closely with Chelsea (founder of Gumtree Kids) to bring creative campaigns to life and help spread our brand throughout the community.


Key Responsibilities
Create and schedule email marketing campaigns and newsletters through wix (or similar)
Set up and manage automations for website sign-ups, PlayPass promotions, and shop sales on wix
Assist with paid ads and promotions across Facebook and Instagram
Manage and update the online shop (new product uploads, descriptions, visuals)
Design engaging social media content and marketing materials in Canva
Help develop marketing campaigns for seasonal themes, workshops, and products
Reach out to schools, early learning centers, and community organizations to promote workshops and resources
Track engagement, campaign performance, and provide insights for growth


Skills & Experience
Experience with email marketing platforms( wix)
Working knowledge of Meta Business Suite (Facebook & Instagram Ads)
Strong Canva skills (design, layout, social media content)
Confident in copywriting and creating engaging, family-friendly posts
Experience with Shopify or online store management (bonus but not essential)
Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects
Passionate about early childhood, sensory play, or creative education (bonus!)
