About the Role
I’m a New York–based corporate lawyer and founder of bool salts (hydration startup). I’m looking for a sharp, proactive General VA & Startup Assistant to streamline life admin and help execute day-to-day startup ops. You’ll handle 4–6 meaningful tasks each week — from conducting general research, finding leads to assembling short videos in CapCut and coordinating deliveries, assisting with Amazon FBA, researching leads, and organizing docs. Work on your own schedule; deliver on time with high quality.

What You’ll Work On
Startup Operations (bool salts)
- Research & compile lead lists (run clubs, gyms, offices, corporate gifting, business partners).
- Coordinate logistics & deliveries with suppliers/3PLs/customers.
- Assist with Amazon FBA setup: listings, GS1 barcodes, product data, compliance docs.
- Coordinate with freelancers/content managers (designers, editors, Webflow devs).
- Track inventory, pricing, and competitor listings; surface weekly highlights.

Content Assembly & Light Editing (CapCut/Canva)
- Splice/assemble short-form videos in CapCut (raw clips, b-roll, screenshares, product shots).
- Add basic captions/subtitles, trims, transitions, end-cards; export platform-ready files (Reels/TikTok/Shorts).
- Repurpose long clips into hook-first shorts; produce 2–3 variants for A/B tests.
- Create simple thumbnails/title cards in Canva; keep assets organized in Drive.
- Deliver a content pack (final MP4, caption options, hashtags, posting notes).

Personal & Administrative
- Light scheduling, flight/hotel research, and online purchases.
- Organize Google Drive and Notion (SOPs, templates, archives).
- Summarize notes/docs and clean up ChatGPT outputs into usable briefs.
- Manage receipts, expense tracking, and invoice summaries.
- Ad-hoc research

Tools & Skills You Should Have
- Excellent English writing & communication (clear, concise, professional).
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Comfortable with AI tools (ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini) for research & drafting.
- Proficient with Google Workspace, Notion, Sheets/Excel, Shopify, Amazon Seller Central.
- CapCut for light video assembly; Canva for simple graphics.
- Bonus: Light social/content scheduling experience.

Work Style
- Flexible hours — complete ~5 tasks/week on your own time.
- Quick check-ins via WhatsApp or Slack.
- Track and report hours per task weekly.
- Scope can expand as we scale. Bonuses available when you close partnerships.

Compensation
- USD 6–7/hour (experience-based).
- Weekly payments via Wise/Payoneer/GCash.
- Performance bonuses for high-impact results (e.g., partnerships landed, ops optimizations).
