JOB OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a high-performance Video Editor who understands more than just cutting clips—you understand why ads convert.

As a core part of our creative team, you’ll be responsible for editing and iterating direct response video ads for Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, and YouTube. You’ll work closely with our Creative Strategist and Media Buyers to produce high-performing ads that sell.

This is for someone who thrives in a fast-paced e-commerce environment and knows how to combine storytelling, structure, and creative editing to stop the scroll and drive conversions.



What You’ll Do
• Edit high-converting video ads (VSLs, UGC, testimonials, short-form reels, etc.)
• Transform raw footage, screen recordings, stock clips, or voice-overs into compelling ads
• Implement hooks, captions, pacing, call-outs, CTA cards, and motion design that fits the funnel
• Follow creative direction and threads written by strategists
• Create multiple iterations per concept to test different hooks, visuals, pacing, and CTAs
• Analyze top-performing ads and replicate what works
• Organize project files and maintain version control across ads
• Optimize for watch time, click-through, and conversion
• Stay up to date on trends on Meta, TikTok, and YouTube



Requirements
• 3+ years editing performance ads for e-commerce or info products
• Experience with direct response advertising or VSL structure
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve
• Basic motion design (text animation, transitions, masking)
• Can work with subtitles, animated text, and social platform formats (9:16, 4:5, 1:1, 16:9)
• Fluent in English, organized, and self-motivated
• Understands creative testing, ad fatigue, and iterative workflows
• Bonus if you’ve worked with the German/DACH market



Bonus Skills
• Experience using Descript or similar for AI-powered workflows
• Copywriting or storytelling background
• Familiarity with YouTube-style editing (long-form)
• Understanding of the customer journey and awareness levels (TOF / MOF / BOF)
