Summary
We’re developing an internal web app that allows our fitness instructors to build and present classes using a library of fitness, boxing, and kickboxing movements with short demo videos.
The goal is to standardize our workouts and make classes easier to follow for both instructors and members.
We already have a full product spec and UI flow — now we’re looking for a developer to help bring the MVP to life.
?
Scope of Work
We’re building a web-based app with 3 main features:
1. Movement Library:
• Upload short videos of movements (via Cloudflare Stream or Mux).
• Tag by category (e.g., punch, kick, warm-up, equipment, difficulty).
• Searchable/filterable list view.
2. Workout Builder (Drag & Drop):
• Instructors assemble workouts from the movement library.
• Define sets, rounds, timers, or rest periods.
• Save workouts as templates.
3. Presenter Mode (TV Display):
• Full-screen playback of the workout sequence.
• Shows video, movement name, timer, and “next up.”
• Navigation via keyboard/remote clicker or phone.
?
Technical Requirements
Stack Preference (non-negotiable):
• Frontend: Next.js (React + TypeScript)
• Styling: Tailwind CSS + shadcn/ui
• Backend: Supabase (Postgres, Auth, Realtime)
• Video: Cloudflare Stream (preferred) or Mux
• Hosting: Vercel + Supabase
Key Deliverables:
• Authentication with role-based access (Admin, Content Admin, Instructor).
• CRUD for movements (with video upload integration).
• Drag-and-drop workout builder.
• Presenter screen with keyboard navigation.
• Realtime remote control sync (via Supabase Realtime).
• README + environment setup + deployment instructions.
?

• Proven experience building full-stack web apps using Next.js + Supabase.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript, Tailwind, and Postgres.
• Familiar with Cloudflare Stream or Mux API for video uploads.
• Experience implementing realtime features (WebSockets/Supabase Realtime).
• Strong understanding of auth & role-based access control.
Nice to Have:
• Prior experience with fitness apps, video libraries, or class scheduling tools.
• UI/UX attention to detail (clean, modern layouts).
• Knowledge of service workers for offline caching.
