Role Overview
We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Bookkeeper & Tax Preparer Trainee. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with strong QuickBooks Online experience who is eager to build their skills in U.S. tax preparation. You’ll handle day-to-day bookkeeping for U.S. clients and receive hands-on training to support tax return preparation.

Key Responsibilities
Manage daily bookkeeping for multiple clients using QuickBooks Online
Categorize transactions and reconcile bank/credit card accounts
Prepare basic financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Assist with month-end and year-end closing
Support setup and onboarding for new clients
Gather and organize client tax documents
Assist in preparing individual (1040) and business tax returns under supervision
Enter data into tax software and review for accuracy
Conduct research on U.S. tax rules as needed
Communicate professionally with clients and the team (English proficiency required)

Requirements
2+ years bookkeeping experience, with proven QuickBooks Online proficiency
Degree in accounting or related field (current students welcome)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good written and verbal English communication skills
Reliable internet and ability to work independently
Willingness to learn U.S. tax preparation (training provided)
Experience with U.S. accounting/bookkeeping and/or e-commerce clients is a plus
Availability for part-time hours, with some overlap to U.S. Eastern Time preferred
