Senior Bookkeeper (CPA Preferred) – Room to Grow

I run a boutique influencer marketing agency that negotiates brand deals for top YouTubers. I’m looking for a sharp, reliable financial operations owner to support our company's growth.

This is a part-time role with room to grow for the right person.

If you have years of experience as a bookkeeper, and also have an interest in financial strategy/planning - this could be a great fit.

About the Role

This part-time bookkeeper will take ownership of our accounting operations, working with the CEO directly.

The ideal candidate understands the bigger picture, keeps things organized with zero delays, and is ready to grow into more responsibility over time.

Successful candidates will be trusted with more responsibility. The right candidate will be asked to share their expertise beyond just bookkeeping, bringing their own ideas for how the organization can grow.

What You’ll Do

Phase 1 - Bookkeeping & Cleanup (First 3–4 months)

- Clean and organize historical entries in QuickBooks Online
- Reconcile transactions (multi-currency: USD + CAD)
- Issue invoices
- Chase overdue payments with professionalism
- Maintain AP/AR records and vendor data
- Deliver accurate month-end reporting

Phase 2 - Strategic Finance (If you're the right fit)

- Maintain financial operations established during phase 1
- Build and update monthly dashboards
- Assist with budgeting and cash flow planning
- Flag financial risks and opportunities
- Propose system/process improvements
- Support with high-level financial decision-making

What We’re Looking For

Required:

- 4+ years experience as a bookkeeper
- 3+ years with QuickBooks Online
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
- Meticulous attention to detail

Preferred:

- CPA or similar credential
- Experience with Canadian or US clients
- Prior work in a remote agency or startup environment
- Familiarity with multi-currency transactions
- Interest or experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or strategy

Role Details

Top applicants for this position will be offered a paid trial task. We are seeking a hard working, rockstar bookkeeper who has experience with Quickbooks Online who wants to grow with us and establish a long term partnership.

The first two months on the job will be paid weekly, moving to bi-weekly or monthly afterwards.
