JOB OVERVIEW

I am a co founder of a tax and corporate compliance automation startup in Toronto, Canada, and I’m looking for a sharp, and resourceful Web Automation/Scraping to build a proof of concept form upload to state of Michigan. This is an opportunity to work with the CEO directly and make a difference in saving time and headache for US companies.

This will start as a 30-40 hour per week position for a month for the PoC and can roll over to a Full Time position if successful.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys defeating challenges around UI automation (web interfaces, field forms, captchas, etc).

What You’ll Do
• Build and maintain automations for different websites.
• Handle logins, sessions, and data uploads/downloads.
• Make your scripts handle errors and site changes automatically.
• Keep logs, retries, and reports clean and easy to follow.
• Communicate clearly about problems, limitations, and results.

Requirements
• Solid experience with Selenium, Playwright, or any similar tool.
• Strong understanding of how websites load, change, and respond.
• Comfortable with authentication, cookies, and sessions.
• Can scrape, transform, and insert data cleanly.
• Writes simple, organized, and well-documented code.

Nice to Have:
• Experience with captchas, proxies, or rotating IPs.
• Knows how to keep automations running reliably over time.
• Has worked on sites with dynamic JavaScript (React, Vue, etc.).
