Freelance Social Media Manager

I’m a wedding and family photographer looking for a self-motivated, proactive, creative, and reliable freelance assistant to help with a key part of my business - Social Media Management. Crafting reels and carousel posts that highlight the emotion, storytelling, and beauty in my photography. As we continue our relationship, there may be more tasks that we tackle together.


About the Role

You’ll be working with full wedding galleries (1,500–2,000 images) and smaller sessions (around 100–400 images), selecting highlights and helping create beautiful, story-driven social media content.

For social media, I currently use Later for scheduling, but I’m open to switching platforms if you have a system you love.

This is a part-time, ongoing freelance position — roughly 10–20 hours per week on average, with flexibility depending on the season. For now, I have 50–100 hours of work ready to go.




What You’ll Do:

Review full galleries from weddings, engagements, and family sessions

Create reels and carousel posts that highlight emotion and storytelling

Write light, engaging captions that feel personal and authentic (no salesy tone)

Upload and schedule content using Later or your preferred platform

Maintain consistent communication for feedback and approvals

Deliver content drafts in a timely and organized manner



What I’m Looking For

? Proven experience managing social media for creative brands (bonus if you’ve worked with photographers or wedding pros)

? Strong visual eye and understanding of storytelling through imagery

? Familiarity with Instagram Reels, carousel design, and current trends

? Reliable, fast internet connection (you’ll be working with large photo/video files)

? Excellent communication and responsiveness

? Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

? Someone who genuinely enjoys photography and the stories behind it

? Poor or inconsistent communication

? Missed deadlines or slow turnaround times

? Resistance to feedback or collaboration

? Difficulty communicating in English

? Unreliable internet or limited availability
