Wine Distribution Sales & Retail Marketing Specialist (Remote, Full-Time)
We are Twine Urban Winery/The Roche Collection—an award-winning Michigan wine producer targeting national expansion. We seek a highly analytical, English-fluent Sales & Retail Marketing Specialist to drive US distributor (RNDC) sales and increase retailer placements by conducting store-specific research, customizing marketing materials, and building long-term retail partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
• Research retail store demographics, wine selection, price points, and customer profiles across grocery, specialty, liquor, and big box channels nationwide.
• Develop store-specific sell sheets, presentations, and product recommendations matched to retailer customer bases and marketing calendars.
• Analyze retailer margin expectations, market gaps, and wine inventory turnover to deliver tailored value propositions for each account.
• Maintain professional
• Proactively follow up 5–7 times per retail cycle with relevant data, competitor analysis, or new information; record all outreach and feedback.
• Build relationships with buyers by providing ongoing value, market trends, and solutions for shelf turnover, not just one-time transactions.
• Support RNDC distributor engagement, ensuring our brands stay top-of-mind and prioritized for sales, and collaborate on retail marketing opportunities.
• Continuously survey existing market, monitor competitor promotions, and refine approach based on response data and regional trends.
Core Qualifications
• Fluent written/spoken English and clear, persuasive communications.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in US wine/spirits sales, retail account management, or distributor support (RNDC, SGWS, or similar preferred).
• Proficient in retail market research, data analysis, and customer segmentation.
• Demonstrated ability to create professional, tailored marketing/sell sheet collateral.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills; expertise with CRM and reporting tools.
• Proven understanding of the US three-tier system, retail margin structures, and wine buyer decision factors.
• Experience managing multiple simultaneous retail and distributor account priorities.
Preferred Attributes
• Prior experience in retail buyer outreach for wine, spirits, or CPG.
• Graphic design or copywriting skills for compelling sell sheets.
• Knowledge of Michigan/regional retail wine markets.
• Background working with remote teams and cross-time-zone collaboration.
