Video Editor (Final Cut Pro) – Storytelling, Color Correction, Log Conversion

Role Overview
We’re hiring a skilled video editor who works exclusively in Final Cut Pro and can deliver professional-quality edits consistently. You should be comfortable working with log footage (Sony FX30, DJI drones), applying Rec.709 conversions correctly, and using storytelling instincts to build clean, watchable edits.

You’ll be responsible for getting projects to a strong 70%+ stage so our in-house team can polish and finalize.

Responsibilities

Edit raw footage in Final Cut Pro (FCPX) only

Apply correct Sony FX30 S-Log3 ? Rec.709 LUTs

Apply correct DJI drone log ? Rec.709 conversions

Perform basic color correction, exposure balancing, and adjustments

Build edits using a simple storytelling structure: intro ? body ? outro

Sync audio (lav mic + camera audio) and clean up

Cut long-form projects into short-form versions for LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok

Follow detailed SOPs and Loom training videos

Maintain clean, organized project folders

Deliver on time with professional, consistent communication

Requirements

Must work in Final Cut Pro (non-negotiable)

Experience handling Sony FX30 and DJI log footage

Strong understanding of log-to-Rec.709 workflows

Good eye for pacing, structure, and storytelling

Strong English comprehension and ability to follow instructions

Reliable computer and internet connection (able to handle 4K footage)

Willingness to take feedback, learn, and improve

Bonus if you have experience with ---------- , Dropbox, and remote team tools
