JOB OVERVIEW

Job Type: Part-time
Schedule: 2 hours per day, 5 days per week (flexible time of day)
Pay Rate: $2.50 USD per hour
Potential for more hours as the website grows

About the Role

I’m looking for a reliable Virtual Assistant to help with routine blog post publishing and simple Canva design work. The main focus will be uploading and formatting blog posts on my WordPress website (using Kadence Blocks).

Once the day’s posts are complete, you’ll use any remaining time to create Pinterest-style pin images in Canva, following my templates and detailed instructions. Other tasks may be added as needed and as time allows.

If you’re detail-oriented, have a strong grasp of the English language, and enjoy both organized and creative work, this is a great opportunity for consistent, long-term part-time employment.

Main Responsibilities

1. WordPress Blog Post Building

Log in to WordPress and create new blog posts using the provided content.
Copy and paste the blog text into the editor, ensuring correct formatting throughout.
Verify that all headings (H2, H3, etc.) are properly structured.
Upload and insert all provided images in the correct sections.
Add alt text to images for SEO and accessibility.
Save the post as a draft for review (no publishing required).

You’ll typically complete 4–5 posts per day during your 2-hour shift.

2. Canva Pin Creation (When Time Allows)

Use Canva to design Pinterest-style images from templates I provide.
Add text overlays following my written instructions.
Double-check spelling, grammar, and formatting on all designs.
Upload finished images to Google Drive for review.

Requirements

Experience working with WordPress (Kadence Blocks experience is a plus).
Basic Canva skills — comfortable editing templates and adding text overlays.
Strong command of the English language, with excellent attention to grammar and spelling.
Good eye for layout, color, and design consistency.
Reliable internet connection.
Reliability and ability to work independently are very important — I need someone who can consistently complete daily tasks during scheduled hours without reminders.
Communicates clearly and follows detailed written instructions carefully.

Tools Used

WordPress (Kadence Blocks), Canva, Google Drive, Gmail/Google Docs.

Email
communication preferred.

Training & Payment

Full instructions and video walkthroughs will be provided for each task. I’ll make sure you’re comfortable with the process before you begin working independently (minimum of 3 blog posts created to my satisfaction with minimal correction needed).

Payment will be made weekly through PayPal based on tracked hours.

Additional Details

Shortlisted applicants may be asked to complete a brief trial task to assess formatting and attention to detail before hiring.
As the website continues to grow, this position may expand into more hours and additional responsibilities (such as social media scheduling or email list support).
One month trial period to start.

Perks

Steady, flexible part-time work (Monday to Friday, 2 hours daily).
Opportunity for long-term growth as the site expands.
Simple, structured tasks.
Supportive environment with clear written instructions and feedback.
