Position Overview
We’re looking for a WordPress Wizard—a skilled developer who specializes in back-end development, technical troubleshooting, and optimizing the performance and structure of client websites. You’ll work across multiple client accounts to build custom functionality, ensure platform stability, and support ongoing website improvements.
This is a highly technical role focused on scalable development, WordPress architecture, and systems-level thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom WordPress websites and themes
- Write clean, modular, and well-documented code using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS/SASS
- Customize themes and plugins to meet unique client requirements
- Collaborate with designers and strategists to implement technical solutions
- Troubleshoot back-end issues, plugin conflicts, and database errors
- Handle site migrations, staging environments, and DNS updates
- Optimize site performance, security, and loading speed
- Implement on-page SEO and ensure proper markup and structure
- Maintain website health and perform regular technical audits
- Support integrations with CRMs, APIs, forms, and third-party tools
Qualified Applicants
- Experience in WordPress website development
- Proficiency in front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (jQuery)
- Experience with PHP and WordPress theme/plugin development or customization
- Familiarity with tools like Elementor
- Understanding of core web vitals, performance optimization, and caching
- Experience working in staging environments (WP Engine, Flywheel, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to problem-solve independently
