Freelance Newsletter Writer (Healthcare/Nursing Background Preferred)

We’re looking for a newsletter writer with a background or strong understanding of nursing and healthcare to help us create high-quality content for our Beehiiv newsletter at Map My Pay.

Our company, Map My Pay, offers a Google and Apple app that analyzes salary and cost-of-living data from over 1,000 U.S. cities, helping nurses and healthcare workers understand their true take-home pay and make informed decisions about where to live and work.

You’ll write 1–2 newsletters per week that blend salary data, current events, job listings, and healthcare news into engaging, story-driven content that nurses actually want to read.

Responsibilities:
?Write 1–2 newsletters weekly (1000–1500 words each).
?Research and summarize healthcare news, new laws, and policies that affect nurses.
?Put together and send a “Top Nursing Job Listings of the Week” email.
?Design and upload newsletters using Beehiiv (or similar platforms like Substack).
?Add thumbnails and visuals to each issue.
?Use ChatGPT or AI tools responsibly to speed up research and ideation.
?Maintain a conversational, 6th–8th grade reading tone.

Requirements:
?Nursing or healthcare background preferred.
?Experience writing newsletters, blogs, or online content.
?Familiarity with Beehiiv, Substack, or other email platforms.
?Ability to create and upload thumbnails.
?Comfortable using ChatGPT or similar AI tools.
?Detail-oriented, creative, and able to meet weekly deadlines.
