We are seeking a full-time Paralegal / In-House Counsel to join our UK-based real estate management company. Applicants with experience in the US, UK, or other common law jurisdictions are welcome. This is a long-term position within a small, committed team where your contributions will be valued and your professionalism respected.
Key Responsibilities:
-Draft, review, and revise various contracts, including leases, works agreements, supplier contracts, and licenses.
-Manage pre-action correspondence, negotiations, and document-based litigation for tenant arrears.
-Evaluate contracts under consideration by the company, highlighting potential risks and recommending necessary amendments.
-Conduct legal research on compliance issues related to property management and collaborate with the property manager to maintain regulatory compliance.
-Handle legal issues independently with minimal supervision, including overseeing litigation once background information is provided.
Requirements:
-Legal background in a US, UK, or other common law system. (Formal lawyer qualification not required; applicants from all legal disciplines are encouraged to apply, provided they have completed a comprehensive legal program with research and litigation components.)
-Strong legal research skills, with the ability to identify issues, find solutions, and make informed recommendations.
-Competence in using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) responsibly, with an understanding of their limitations.
-Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
-Stable internet connection (minimum 20 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload) and reliable power supply.
-Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working autonomously.
-Immediate availability and willingness to complete a 2–3 day trial to assess suitability.
-Desire for a long-term, full-time role with growth potential within the company.
Work Details:
-Fully remote position.
-Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM UK time (must be reachable outside those hours in emergencies).
