Linguistic Experts – Tagalog (Philippines)

I’m partnering with a leading AI research lab to help them find a Linguistic Expert – Tagalog (Philippines). This is a part-time (20–30 hrs/week), remote role where you’ll play a key part in improving how AI understands and generates Tagalog.

About the Role

As a Linguistic Expert, you’ll collaborate with researchers and engineers to make sure AI outputs are accurate, natural, and culturally relevant in Tagalog. Your insights will directly shape the next generation of AI technology.

Responsibilities

Review and annotate AI-generated Tagalog text for fluency, grammar, and cultural alignment

Provide expert feedback on tone, style, and semantics

Help develop guidelines for more consistent AI outputs

Partner with researchers to identify linguistic challenges and suggest dataset improvements

Requirements

Native-level fluency in Tagalog (Philippines) + strong English skills

Solid knowledge of grammar, syntax, semantics, and cultural nuances

Background in linguistics, translation, literature, or related fields (Bachelor’s or higher)

Experience in annotation, translation, or content review a plus

Familiarity with AI/NLP tools is helpful, but not required
