Virtual Assistant Needed to Verify Food Bank Directory (Data Accuracy & Research)

We are building a food bank directory website to help people easily find food banks and pantries in Florida. We already have a list of food banks (in Excel), and we need a reliable Virtual Assistant to carefully verify the accuracy of the information.

Your main responsibility will be to fact-check and update details such as:
• Food bank name
• Address
• Phone number
• Do they have a logo
• Website (if available)
• Hours of operation
• Services offered (pantry, meal programs, senior programs, etc.)

This task requires attention to detail and the ability to cross-check information online through official food bank websites, Google Maps, and trusted sources.
Responsibilities:
• Review the provided spreadsheet of food banks.
• Verify each entry online for accuracy and completeness.
• Update and correct any missing, outdated, or incorrect details.
• Flag duplicate or inactive food banks.
• Provide short notes if a food bank no longer exists or information cannot be verified.
• Deliver updated files on time with accuracy.
Qualifications:
• Strong internet research skills (Google, official websites, social media, maps).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good English reading/writing skills.
• Experience working with Excel or Google Sheets.
• Previous experience with data entry, research, or directory management is a plus.
Work Details:
• Part-time, project-based (with possible ongoing work if done well).
• Flexible working hours, but accuracy and reliability are most important.
• Must provide progress updates.
