We are looking for a talented long term copywriter and editor to join our horror publishing team. We will be onboarding the right candidate within 3 weeks so do not hesitate in applying. Must be deadline-conscious, goal-oriented, and resourceful.
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Edit books
- Write blurbs for books
- Conduct Social media marketing (writing snippets and scheduling them)
- Write and schedule horror blog posts according to predefined SEO guidelines
- Send new release emails
- Coordinate with cover designer and have a keen eye for design (does not need to be a designer just needs to have an eye for it)
- Update company website for new releases
Secondary
- Organize and coordinate book launch in digital, print and audio formats
o Work with other team members to ensure completion of projects
o Coordinate day to day, set timelines and communicate status updates
- Marketing tasks including but not limited to: creating tracking links, submissions to directories, coordination with service providers, researching new avenues and establishing partnerships with those who have an audience overlap
- High standard of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information – extremely important
- Assist founder with administrative tasks

Job Specifics
This job is home-based. Employee must have a stable internet connection, and will be required to download, acquaint themselves and be able to use several software, including but not limited to:
- Slack
- Dropbox
- Google Drive
Working hours are flexible, but employee must adhere to strict deadlines. Working hours may be as low as 4 hours, but can reach 7 to 8 hours a day on release dates.
The job will require an initial four-week onboarding period where the employee will be introduced to all aspects of the company and begin working on several tasks. This period is our evaluation period, during which your work ethics, timeliness and attention to detail will be evaluated. During this period, a lack of the required skills will lead to immediate termination.
After the initial four weeks of evaluation, employees will be given a second evaluation once three months are complete.
Payment Details
Payment will be made through paypal
During the first four weeks evaluation, salary will be $300 (14,394 Php)
During the two following months before second evaluation, salary will be $380 (18,232 Php)
Post-evaluation salary will range from $440 to $480 USD depending on evaluation (21,111 Php - 23,030 Php)
