Amazon Product Research Specialist

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Product Research Specialist with proven Amazon FBA product research experience. This role will focus on consistently generating, evaluating, and reporting product opportunities that align with our Amazon FBA strategy. You will use our in-house criteria, frameworks, and tools to find products with strong profitability, reasonably low competition, high differentiation potential, and no IP conflicts. These product ideas you compile will serve to support our students on their Amazon seller journeys.

We primarily focus on AMAZON US.

Responsibilities
- Conduct daily product research using Amazon, Helium 10, Google Trends, Social Media, AI and other tools.
- Apply our internal criteria of product research when evaluating ideas.
- Cross-check categories against our Red Flag Checklist.
- Assess product ideas based on Price, Category, Red Flags, Size/Weight, Big Brand Dominance, Seasonality, Differentiation-ability, Brandability.
- Conduct Marketplace Opportunity Analysis with Helium 10 Xray, segmenting sellers into revenue tiers and assessing competition.
- Note down differentiation opportunities (features, materials, bundling, design).
- Check for potential patents, trademarks, or intellectual property conflicts before approving product ideas.
- Record and maintain research in shared spreadsheets with structured notes.
- Include links to competitor products
- Contacting suppliers to check sourcing costs

Requirements
- Amazon FBA product research experience is a must (minimum 1 year required).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret marketplace data.
- Proficiency with Helium 10, Amazon Seller Central, and keyword research tools.
- Basic knowledge of patent/trademark research tools (Google Patents, USPTO, WIPO, etc.).
- Excellent written communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to follow detailed systems, checklists, and guidelines.
