Social Media Video Editor (Motion Graphics + Captions)

I’m hiring a full-time senior editor to make short-form videos at (or above) the quality of these examples watch first:

This is NOT a CapCut/template role. I need an editor who can turn raw vertical footage into scroll-stopping stories with bespoke motion graphics, sharp design, sophisticated sound design, and custom captions.

What you’ll do
* Edit 9:16 shorts for TikTok/Reels/Shorts (plus occasional 16:9 reframes).
* Build motion graphics: kinetic typography, tracked callouts, masking/roto, shape layers, transitions, simple 2D or 3D animation.
* Story/Hook first: find the hook in the first 1–3 seconds, tighten pacing, and land a clear payoff.
* Sound design: beat-sync cuts, tasteful SFX, clean music edits/mixes so each video feels alive.
* Captions: accurate, styled, on-brand (burn-in + SRT), with emphasis/emoji where it fits.
* Light color correction/grading for pop and consistency.
* Create 2–3 thumbnail options when requested.
* Deliver tidy project files via Dropbox with clean naming.

Must-have skills (no exceptions)
* Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve (advanced)
* After Effects (motion graphics)
* Photoshop + Illustrator (design for overlays/thumbnails)
* Strong sense of hooks, pacing, and short-form storytelling
* Solid audio skills (levels, EQ, SFX placement, music edits)
* Fast iterations, takes feedback well, organized file hygiene

Outputs & specs
* Target 1–3 finished shorts per day (complexity-dependent).
* Deliverables:
* MP4 1080×1920, 24–30fps, high bitrate
* Burned-in captions + clean version + SRT
* Thumbnails (when requested)
* Naming: YYYYMMDD_title_platform_v01 (all media + project files in the same Dropbox folder).

Hours & comms
* Full-time: 8 hrs/day (20 - 40 hrs/week) with at least 3 hours overlap with AEST (Sydney).
* Daily communication via WhatsApp.
* Quick paid test before hire.
