Remote Financial Analyst – Food & Beverage / Retail

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team remotely. This role is central to driving strategic decisions through data-driven insights. You’ll analyze financial data, develop models, and create reports that shape business strategy, with a strong focus on the food & beverage industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Financial Analysis: Evaluate historical and current financial data to assess company performance.
- Forecasting & Modeling: Build and own the 5-year financial model, create forecasts, and identify risks and opportunities.
- Budgeting & Reporting: Lead the budget and reforecast process, deliver weekly cash flow forecasts, and prepare daily/weekly restaurant reports.
- Profitability Insights: Conduct P&L analysis—covering sales, gross margin, staff costs, site comparisons, and restaurant capacity.
- Strategic Planning: Provide cost-benefit analysis, product/pricing analysis, and support decision-making across departments.
- Collaboration: Partner with restaurant managers, chefs, and leadership to align financial insights with operational needs.
- Market Research: Monitor trends and market conditions to inform business strategies.

Essential Skills

- Advanced Excel expertise: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Index/Match, SUMIFs, Charts, Data Validation, Conditional Formatting, Data Visualization.
- Strong command of English (written & verbal) to clearly explain complex data.
- Proven financial modeling and forecasting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
- Analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience with financial tools/software; Power Query, Macros, Visual Basic, Procure Wizard/Fourth People System a plus.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification preferred.
- Experience in multi-site food & beverage (coffee & tea), retail, or hospitality industry required.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with operators to produce actionable budgets and forecasts.
- Experience creating clear financial reports and presentations for leadership.
