JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting & Bookkeeping Expert to manage full-cycle accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of both U.S. and Canadian accounting systems, experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), and the ability to handle tax compliance, reporting, and reconciliations. Proficiency in Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar software is required.

Key Responsibilities
• Transaction & Record Management
o Accurately categorize and record daily financial transactions.
o Maintain clean and organized accounting records across multiple entities.
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
o Issue and track customer invoices.
o Follow up on outstanding receivables in a professional and timely manner.
o Prepare AR aging reports and support collection efforts.
• Accounts Payable (AP)
o Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
o Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
o Maintain AP schedules and cash flow tracking.
• Tax Compliance
o Manage and file Sales Tax (Canada/USA) and VAT returns.
o Ensure compliance with jurisdiction-specific tax regulations.
o Reconcile tax accounts and support audits when necessary.
• Reporting & Reconciliation
o Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards.
o Generate daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
o Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
• Inventory & Operations Support
o Track and reconcile inventory movements and balances.
o Support commission calculations and cost allocations.
o Provide operational and financial insights to management.

Qualifications
• Proven experience in bookkeeping and accounting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. and Canadian accounting principles.
• Expertise in Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.
• Solid understanding of AR/AP, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Hands-on experience with VAT and Sales Tax filing.
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for financial analysis.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for vendor and client interactions.
