Smart, Proactive Assistant Wanted For Fun, Long-Term Work

Sadly my amazing assistant Jenne had to leave and pursue her local career (medical profession) full time, so I'm on the hunt for an awesome replacement.

The nice thing about this position is that a lot of the role and responsibilities has already been defined and we have guides and instructions for a lot of the work. On the other side, there is lots of room for growth and expanding the role.

I am new to onlinejops, and previously used upwork. I have indicated the job to be part-time to start but when we interview we may decide to work on a freelance basis with an hourly wage.

I've asked Jenne to write some of this, since she knows the job better than anyone!

Parts of the job require basic skills in the following areas. IF you have expertise or advanced skills in any of these areas, please let me know!

Graphic Design - Primarily for YouTube thumbnails at this point.

Audio Editing - Basic editing via Audacity or a similar program. This is for editing a podcast, primarily adding an intro and outro to episodes to audio clips.

Transcribing and Caption Editing - For transcribing YouTube Videos, and editing automatic captions on YouTube.

Wordpress - Setting up basic articles on the site, including embedding of YouTube videos.

Organisation and Project Planning - Imagine the disorganised CEO type and his almost mother like secretary who ensures he stays organised and doesn't f*ck anything up too much.

Communication: I do not require fixed hours, or for you to work 24/7 or respond instantly to my messages. I do require you be available to communicate via whatsapp, and speak/understand English fluently so I can send you voice notes instead of text.


A few things I really liked about working with Jenne.
-She is smart, proactive, and self-motivated. I feel comfortable giving her a task or project and trusting she will figure out how to do it equally or better than I would.
-She would catch details I would miss. For example, if in a video I mention making another video on a similar topic, she would remind me of this in our spreadsheet on video ideas.

I am looking to hire someone and start immediately. On average the role as it is now will require 5-10 hours per week, but has been gradually growing and I imagine it reaching 10-20 hours per week.
