WooCommerce / Technical Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We’re seeking a WooCommerce / Technical Support Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing support for WooCommerce websites, troubleshooting technical issues, and assisting with setup, updates, and ongoing maintenance. Candidates with additional skills in programming and web development will be given strong consideration. This role will have a variety of responsibilities, ranging from completing customer service tasks to developing simple features to add to our platform. You will be expected to work within our existing framework and adapt as said frameworks change. We are a Web Development company and require someone who can aid us in several aspects of our services such as ongoing customer support, application integration, and web development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide technical support for WooCommerce websites, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Handle incoming client requests in the form of tickets
- Communicate with clients based in the US via email
- Implement fixes or escalate complex problems to the development team
- Utilize our proprietary platform to complete tasks
- Work within our CRM software to track progress and completion of work items
- Help create workflows and Standard Operating Procedures to guide future employees in this role
- (Optional: If skilled) Assist with custom coding, integrations, and small web development projects

Requirements and Qualifications:

- Proven experience working with WooCommerce and WordPress
- Familiarity with common WooCommerce plugins (e.g., payment gateways, shipping, memberships, subscriptions)
- Written and Verbal comprehension of English
- Ability to communicate technical solutions clearly to non-technical clients
- Experience with SEO best practices
- Knowledge of and ability to program in the following languages & technologies: PHP, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Github and git experience
