YouTube Video & Podcast Editor (Hourly)

We’re seeking a YouTube Video & Podcast Editor skilled in Descript to join our remote team asap. This is an hourly role focused on editing, repurposing, and publishing content on a weekly basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Edit high-quality weekly YouTube videos in Descript (cutting, captions, adding effects/music, etc.)
- Repurpose video content into engaging blog posts and social media assets (e.g. short clips)
- Design professional YouTube thumbnails and social posts using Canva
- Schedule and publish content across our YouTube, blog, and social platforms
- Edit and publish podcasts in Descript (podcast planned to launch only later)
- Maintain up to date statuses on editing process in our shared content planner in Notion

REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience editing YouTube videos (portfolio required)
- Strong proficiency with Descript for video editing
- Familiarity with Canva for thumbnail/social design
- Excellent verbal and written English skills
- Must be comfortable joining occasional internal calls on weekends (Saturday/Sunday, not frequent)
- Reliable, detail-oriented, able to work autonomously and meet weekly deadlines

NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience as a social media manager
- Prior blog/article writing experience
- Familiarity with Notion
- Experience editing podcasts
