JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Records Clerk to join our personal injury law firm. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our legal team by managing medical records and bills for our clients. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Request and Follow-Up: Request medical records and bills from healthcare providers, and follow up as needed to ensure timely receipt.
• Data Entry: Accurately input data fro ---------- dical records and bills into our case management system, including medical codes, CPT codes, providers, and other pertinent details.
• Verification: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all received records and bills, verifying consistency with case files.
• Communication: Act as a liaison between the firm and medical providers to address discrepancies, clarify information, or request additional documentation.
• Organization: Maintain a well-organized system for tracking requests, deadlines, and follow-ups.
• Confidentiality: Handle sensitive medical information in compliance with HIPAA and other applicable regulations.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in medical terminology or coding is a plus.
• Prior experience in a medical records department, healthcare facility, or law firm is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with deadlines.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, billing processes, and CPT codes is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:
• 8-hour shift split between virtual office time and flextime
• Monday to Friday
• Mandatory Monday Zoom Huddle at 9:07 am Central Standard Time (CST)
