Remote Video Editor — Restaurant Sizzle Reel & Social Media Clips

We are looking for a Remote Video Editor to take raw Sony A7S3 footage and turn it into compelling video content for a restaurant client. This project has two key deliverables:

1) One polished sizzle reel (hero video, 90–120 seconds) that will live on the restaurant’s website, plus a shorter alternate cut (30–60 seconds) for flexibility in ads or landing pages.

2) Five short-form social media clips (each ~30 seconds, vertical format) designed for Instagram Reels.

You’ll be responsible for reviewing and organizing the footage, performing color correction and grading, applying speed adjustments (slow motion, speed ramps), syncing/cleaning audio, adding text and graphic overlays, and exporting optimized files for web and social platforms.

Key Responsibilities

? Sort and organize raw footage; identify best takes
? Perform color correction and grading for a consistent, high-quality look
? Apply motion effects (slow motion, speed ramps) to enhance visual appeal
? Add text/graphic overlays, logos, intros/outros as needed
? Clean and balance audio; reduce background noise where applicable
? Deliver two final content sets: Website hero sizzle reel (90–120s) + alternate 30–60s cut | Five short-form social media clips (30s each, vertical)
? Incorporate feedback and revisions promptly

Required Skills

? Demonstrated portfolio of sizzle reels and short-form social media edits (please include links)
? Proficiency with professional editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
? Strong experience with color grading and motion effects
? Understanding of pacing and storytelling for restaurant/food content
? Reliable computer hardware and stable, high-speed internet connection
? Clear English communication and responsiveness to feedback

Preferred Qualifications

? Prior experience editing food or restaurant-related video content
? Familiarity with captioning / subtitles for social platforms
? Knowledge of current trends in Reels, TikTok, and Shorts

Work Arrangement

? Remote, part-time or project basis to start
? Timeline: initial draft within 3–4 days of receiving raw footage; revisions to follow
? Potential for ongoing collaboration on future restaurant/social projects

Compensation & Application

? This is a one-off project budgeted at $200 total (approx. 20 hours at $10/hr). Platform requires salary/month, so please note this is a gig project, not ongoing employment.
