Own Your Finances (OYF) is a growing FinTech startup on a mission to empower individuals and families with better financial tools. We’re building mobile and web apps, financial education resources, and marketing campaigns — and we need a versatile designer to join our team.

Responsibilities

Create high-quality visual designs for OYF’s mobile & web app (icons, UI assets, graphics).

Develop complete UI/UX designs: user research ? wireframes ? prototypes ? handoff.

Work with developers to ensure designs translate well into implementation (responsive behavior, accessibility, usability).

Design marketing materials (social media graphics, email creatives, ads, banners).

Produce branding materials when needed (logos, style guides, pitch decks).

Design and deliver professional PowerPoint presentations (PPT) with storytelling impact.

Create short motion/animated videos (e.g., app demos, explainer videos, marketing clips).

Handle design revisions and iterate quickly based on feedback.

Maintain and enforce design consistency across platforms (typography, colors, assets).

Requirements (Must-Have)

2+ years of professional graphic design and UI/UX experience.

Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator.

Strong understanding of UI/UX principles (responsive design, mobile-first, accessibility).

Good sense of typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.

Strong portfolio showcasing app/web graphics + marketing materials.

Experience preparing/exporting assets for web & mobile (PNG, SVG, etc.).

Good communication in English.

Nice-to-Haves

Motion/animation skills (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Lottie, Canva, CapCut).

Experience designing for fintech, dashboards, or data-heavy apps.

Familiarity with design systems and component libraries.

Some UI prototyping experience (interactive prototypes).

Familiarity with version control or asset management.

Compensation / Offer

$3–$5/hour (negotiable based on experience & portfolio).

Equivalent to ?30,000 – ?45,000/month (full-time).

Remote role, flexible hours (with some overlap to US Central Time).

13th-month pay + growth opportunities with expanded product & design responsibilities.
