Research and Development Officer

Job Description:

? Conduct market research and feasibility studies to identify trends, technologies, and customer needs in the appliances sector.
? Design and develop new appliance products, ensuring functionality, efficiency, durability, and safety.
? Improve and innovate existing appliance models for better performance, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
? Create and test prototypes, documenting results and recommending improvements.
? Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams in developing technical specifications and production processes.
? Ensure compliance with safety standards, energy regulations, and industry certifications for appliances.
? Monitor competitor products and emerging technologies to maintain industry competitiveness.
? Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation for new designs and product launches.
? Provide technical support to production and after-sales teams on product-related issues.
? Participate in continuous improvement projects for manufacturing efficiency and product reliability.

Job Qualifications:
? Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Design, Business Administration, or a related field.
? At least 2–3 years of experience in R&D, product design, or appliance development.
? Strong background in mechanical/electrical systems, appliance design, and manufacturing processes.
? Knowledge of appliance safety standards, energy efficiency guidelines, and certification requirements (e.g., DOE, IEC, ISO).
? Skilled in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and simulation tools for design and testing.
? Analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
? With background as an Executive Assistant – bringing skills in project coordination, documentation, scheduling, and inter-departmental communication.
? Ability to conduct product testing, analyze performance data, and recommend design improvements.
? Strong communication and teamwork skills for coordination with cross-functional departments.
? Project management skills and ability to handle multiple development projects.
? Creativity and innovation mindset in developing practical, user-friendly, and marketable appliance designs.
