Role Overview
We are seeking a highly-skilled Senior Full-Stack Developer on a contract basis to analyze and document the codebase for Nutri.Ai, our AI-powered nutrition application, which is built on the Base 44 platform. This role is crucial for creating a comprehensive "app bible" that will guide our future development efforts. You will be responsible for mapping out the application's architecture, database schema, and API integrations, while also identifying key areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Codebase Analysis & Documentation: Conduct a deep dive into the existing application to understand its structure, logic, and dependencies.

Architecture Mapping: Create detailed diagrams and documentation outlining the current application architecture, including the front-end, back-end logic, and database layer.

Database Schema Extraction: Analyze and document the Firestore database schema, including collections, document structures, and data relationships.

API Documentation: Extract and document all internal and external API endpoints, including request/response formats and authentication requirements.

Gap Analysis: Identify and document key technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities. Propose solutions for improving the application's scalability and efficiency.

Feature Planning: Based on our future roadmap (including features like advanced user profiles, interactive meal planning, and community features), document how the existing codebase can be extended or refactored to support these additions.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience as a Senior Full-Stack Developer with a track record of at least 5 years working on live, production-level web applications.

Platform Experience: Experience with or a strong ability to quickly learn the Base 44 platform.

Front-End Proficiency: Expertise in one or more modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.

Back-End & Database: Strong proficiency with Firebase services, particularly Firestore, including an in-depth understanding of NoSQL database design.

API Expertise: Experience in documenting and integrating with RESTful APIs, and a clear understanding of data flow and authentication.

Technical Communication: Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to create clear, concise, and professional technical documentation.

Problem-Solving: A critical thinker with a strong ability to identify problems and propose practical, scalable solutions.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar role focused on technical analysis, system audits, or creating developer documentation.

Familiarity with data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Chart.js) and third-party API integrations (e.g., for food databases, barcode scanning).

Experience with or an interest in the health and wellness technology space.

A portfolio or examples of past documentation or architectural diagrams.
