To support our growing practice, we are seeking a remote Legal Assistant based in the Philippines with strong English skills and basic legal knowledge to assist with document preparation and communication tasks.
Key Responsibilities
???? Document Support
- Assist in drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents (contracts, letters, pleadings, court forms, etc.) under lawyer’s supervision.
- Prepare templates and initial drafts based on given instructions and precedents.
- Conduct basic legal and factual research to support document preparation.
???? Communication Support
- Handle routine English-language communications with external parties (courts, counterpart lawyers, clients) as instructed.
- Manage
- Prepare summaries of meetings and calls.
????? Administrative & Case Support
- Organise case files and maintain digital document management.
- Assist in preparing court bundles and exhibits.
- Track deadlines and update case timelines.

Requirements
???? Education & Legal Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree (Law, Legal Studies, or related field preferred).
Prior experience in a law firm or legal outsourcing role is an advantage.
????? Language & Communication
Excellent written and spoken English (near-native proficiency).
Comfortable handling professional communication with courts and lawyers.
???? Technical & Work Skills
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), PDF editing, and legal drafting tools.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks remotely.

Self-motivated and reliable, able to work with minimal supervision.
Discreet and professional, with strong respect for confidentiality.
Flexible in working hours (to align with Australian time zone when needed).
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with Australian legal documents (pleadings, affidavits, discovery lists, contracts).
Exposure to cross-border legal work or international clients.
