Video Editor & Social Media Content Manager ($5/hr, Part-Time, Remote)

We are looking for a reliable and creative Video Editor & Social Media Content Manager to join our team. The role is part-time (20 hours per week) at $5/hour ($400/month) with the opportunity to grow into a long-term position.

About the Role

You will edit and publish engaging short- and long-form videos across multiple social platforms to help us grow our online presence. You’ll work with completed YouTube videos (provided in a shared folder) and repurpose them into shorts, clips, and full uploads for other platforms.

At first, you’ll send videos for approval before posting. Over time, we expect you to manage the process independently.

We plan to hire someone between the middle and end of December. As part of the application process, we are happy to pay for a few test edits to see your skills in action.

Responsibilities

Edit videos into YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn posts, and Facebook posts (full and short formats).

Create captions, descriptions, and hashtags optimized for each platform.

Post natively on YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook (direct access will be provided).

Maintain a consistent posting schedule of 3–5 videos per week.

Use stock footage/music as needed (we provide a Uppbeat account for music).

Deliver drafts for approval before publishing until full autonomy is reached.

Requirements

Strong video editing skills (any editing software you are comfortable with).

Proven experience editing for social media platforms.

Knowledge of platform-specific requirements (vertical vs horizontal, captions, text overlays, etc).

Ability to write clear, engaging captions and select effective hashtags.

Reliable, organized, and able to meet weekly deadlines.

Stable internet connection and reliable equipment.

Preferred Skills (a plus, not required)

Graphic design for thumbnails.

Familiarity with scheduling tools like Buffer or Later.

Understanding of social media analytics and performance tracking.

Compensation

$5 per hour, paid weekly or biweekly through PayPal (preferred) or Wise.

Part-time: 20 hours per week (about $400/month).

Paid trial edits before full hire.
