We’re an experienced software development team expanding into game development. We’re currently focused on in-browser mobile games as well as desktop Unity and Unreal projects.
We’re looking to partner with 2D/3D game artists who enjoy being both creative and technical, capable of working at least 20-40 hours/week, and who can create and ship production-ready assets regularly. You’ll deliver concept-to-final assets across styles, including: characters, environments, props, VFX, UI/UX elements, and optimized asset packs - ready for engine import with clean hierarchies and naming.
An eye for art direction and what makes great game content - along with experience in optimization and packaging assets for web and realtime - is ideal. Familiarity with Unity/URP/HDRP, Unreal/Blueprints, WebGL constraints, procedural generation, LODs, lightmaps, atlasing, and PBR workflows is a plus.
We’d like to start with a paid trial project to make sure it’s a fit for both of us.
Core Responsibilities
Create high-quality 2D assets: concepts, style guides, spritesheets, tilesets, icons, UI, and marketing art.
Build performant 3D assets: low/high-poly modeling, retopo, UVs, baking, PBR texturing, materials.
Set up engine-ready content: prefabs/blueprints, procedural generation, collisions, sockets, LODs, impostors, lightmaps.
Animate characters/props (keyframe or mocap cleanup), simple rigs/skin weighting; 2D animation (Spine/After Effects) a plus.
Author stylized and realistic VFX (particles, flipbooks, shaders) mindful of draw calls and mobile/web limits.
Optimize for target platforms: memory footprint, texture budgets, shader complexity, and load times.
Collaborate on pipelines, naming conventions, and version control (Git/LFS).
INSTRUCTIONS
Interested? Have the right skills? We’d love to hear from you.
Please apply with:
Your name and previous experience (game art, 2D/3D, VFX, technical art, UI/UX, environment/character work, etc.).
Links to your best work (2D and 3D, ArtStation/Sketchfab; before/after optimizations, wireframes/UVs, VFX breakdowns, engine screenshots).
Your primary interests/focuses (e.g., stylized characters, hard-surface props, environments, VFX, technical art/shaders, UI).
Your hourly rate and availability (full-time or part-time both OK).
Thanks for reading - looking forward to hearing from you.
All the best,
Matt
