Video Editor (YouTube + Instagram Reels) – Notion Niche

I run a YouTube channel and online brand in the software/productivity niche — specifically focused on Notion. My content is talking heads, screen tutorials, and systems built in Notion, and I use Notion internally to organize all of my content, tasks, and feedback. Because of this, I need an editor who is familiar with Notion.

Content Goals

•? ?YouTube (long-form): At least 1 long-form YouTube video per week (will range anywhere from 5–60min but the average video would be 8-12min). My goal is to scale this to 2–3 videos per week over the coming months.
•? ?Instagram Reels/Shorts: From each long-form video, create 7+ short clips (under 1 minute) optimized for Instagram Reels. These will be pulled directly from the main YouTube video (no separate short-form filming needed).

Editing Style

•? ?Clean, simple, educational edits.
•? ?Focus on trimming pauses, cutting duplicates, and keeping the video flowing.
•? ?Light text/graphics/slide animations when necessary — nothing cinematic or “retention-hack” heavy.
•? ?My editing style and brand guide will be provided.

Requirements

•? ?This goes without saying but good editing skills.
•? ?Fast turnaround: first draft of the weekly YouTube video delivered within 24 hours (unless it’s a long video then 48h)
•? ??The turn around for the shorts can be 24h once the long form video is finished
•? ?Comfortable working with [ ---------- ]( ---------- ) for feedback and revisions.
•? ?Good English, great communication skills and reliable responsiveness
•? ?Understanding of YouTube flow (knowing when to cut, trim, keep context).

Nice-to-Have

•? ?Familiarity with Descript (I can provide access to speed up workflow).
•? ??Comfortable using Notion.

What You’ll Be Editing

•? ?Weekly long-form YouTube videos (5–60 mins).
•? ?7+ short-form clips cut directly from the long-form video each week.

This will initially start as freelance/project-based and over time if you’re good and we work well together, this could become a full-time position with a stable salary.
