Full-Time YouTube Video Editor Wanted (REMOTE) | Canadian Media Company

We are a Canadian media company managing multiple YouTube channels, and we’re looking for a full-time video editor based in the Philippines to join our growing team. This is a long-term remote position for someone who’s creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about online content. The right candidate will be proficient in English — able to understand videos, edit content appropriately, and communicate clearly in both written and spoken English.

Job Description:

You will be responsible for editing 3–4 YouTube videos per week, including Shorts and thumbnails, using a mix of traditional and AI-based tools. The ideal candidate is fluent in modern editing styles, understands YouTube trends, and can collaborate smoothly with an international team.


Responsibilities:
- Edit and deliver 3–4 engaging YouTube videos per week (long-form and Shorts)
- Design custom thumbnails that align with trending visual styles and drive clicks
- Apply motion graphics, visual effects, and sound design to enhance storytelling
- Use AI tools to speed up and streamline editing workflows
- Communicate regularly and deliver on deadlines with minimal supervision
- Required Technical Skills & Experience
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
- Experience with motion graphics and animation tools (e.g., After Effects, Blender)
- Strong understanding of sound design, foley, and audio cleanup
- Skilled in designing thumbnails using Photoshop or Canva
- Proficient in English — able to understand video content, follow instructions, and communicate effectively

Soft Skills:
- Clear communicator in English (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Self-motivated, independent, and reliable
- Open to constructive feedback and quick iterations
- Eager to learn and adapt to new tools or strategies

Basic Skills:
- Reliable internet connection with backup
- Familiar with file management and YouTube Studio basics
- Organized and consistent in following content workflows

Desired (Bonus) Skills:
- Experience editing storytelling or vlog-style content
- Familiarity with 3D character animation
- Use of AI tools such as Runway ML, Midjourney, ChatGPT, or similar

Work Schedule & Holidays:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week (flexible hours, deliverables-based)
- Paid Philippine holidays after 3 months

Compensation & Growth:
- Starting at $550/month, paid weekly via Remitly, PayPal, or Wise
