Micro Loan Entrepreneur (changing the Philippines)

We are building a network based on trust, a network that we hope will enable people to build successful businesses on the network and to be rewarded for being a decent person.

In order to do this, we are looking to partner with entrepreneurs who have goals that are aligned with ours.

One option we have is to build micro lending businesses (two are set to be launched in the next week) using the TrustClub network to change the entire lending market. By working with us, you will be able to lend to people who have been vouched for by their network (their friends and family), in doing so, we are looking to dramatically drop default rates and most importantly, drop interest rates.

We’re piloting in the Philippines to prove that social trust reduces loan default rates and accelerates financial inclusion.

Role Overview

You will be the face and the owner of the lending business - building, activating, and nurturing our first local borrower and lender communities. This includes outreach to barangay leaders, OFW family groups, and local business owners, as well as high-touch onboarding and trust-building with early users. The business will be yours not ours. This is meant to be a partnership. If you can build the network, you can build a successful business.

Key Responsibilities

- Community Outreach & Activation
- Build relationships with barangay officials, church leaders, OFW coordinators, and community influencers.
-Organize and run small in-person events (barangay halls, sari-sari stores, remittance centers) to explain the model.
- Identify and recruit anchor lenders and borrowers to seed the network.
- User Onboarding & Support
- Guide users through sign-up, KYC, and referral process (via Messenger, GCash, or app).
- Train new members on earning trust points, interest rate benefits, and passive income opportunities.
- Provide ongoing support for repayment questions and dispute resolution.
- Trust & Data Tracking
- Monitor loan performance and trust point changes within assigned communities.
- Collect feedback from users to inform product improvements.
- Referral Growth
- Motivate early users to invite friends/family into the network.
- Help organize “referral challenge” campaigns to drive local growth.

Requirements

- Proven track record in community engagement, field sales, or, ideally, microfinance.
- Strong local network in target pilot areas (barangay officials, OFW families, or SME owners).
- Excellent communication skills in English (this is a must) and Filipino (or local dialects like Cebuano, Ilocano, etc. depending on location).
- Comfort with mobile apps, social media (Facebook, Messenger), and fintech tools (GCash, PayMaya).
- Ability to travel locally and work flexible hours, including evenings/weekends for community events.

Preferred Experience

- Background in micro-lending, remittance services, or cooperative groups.
- Experience launching new products or services in rural/peri-urban communities.
- Familiarity with financial literacy training or grassroots campaigns.

Compensation & Benefits

- We want this to be a partnership, we will help you set the business up, including funding. From there we would be looking at a profit share.
- Happy to negotiate bonuses based on KPIs
- As it's part time to begin with, we are looking at $200pm (open to negotiation) (doesn't include bonuses)
