Position Overview:
The Amazon Manager is responsible for leading and scaling the brand’s overall performance on the Amazon Marketplace. This executive-level role combines strategic planning, performance management, team leadership, and deep marketplace expertise. The Amazon Director oversees all aspects of Amazon operations—from product listings and advertising to inventory, reporting, and brand building. This role works cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, content, and executive teams to ensure revenue growth, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and long-term brand equity across Amazon platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
• Define and execute a comprehensive Amazon growth strategy aligned with company objectives
• Lead marketplace expansion efforts and explore new Amazon regions and programs (FBA, Brand Registry, Amazon Stores, etc.)
• Provide strategic input on product roadmap, pricing, go-to-market plans, and promotional campaigns
Team Oversight
• Directly manage and mentor Amazon account managers, PPC specialists, and catalog teams
• Coordinate workflows across cross-functional departments (marketing, supply chain, content, design)
• Set KPIs for the Amazon team and ensure goals are met or exceeded
Product Listing & SEO Optimization
• Oversee listing creation, optimization, and maintenance for all products
• Ensure consistency in product titles, descriptions, keywords, images, A+ content, and storefront branding
• Implement advanced SEO and keyword strategies to increase organic visibility
Advertising & Promotions
• Lead advertising strategy and performance management (Amazon PPC, DSP, Sponsored Brands, etc.)
• Monitor and optimize ad spend, ACoS, ROAS, and sales performance
• Approve and guide promotions, deals, and campaign planning
Inventory & Fulfillment
• Align with supply chain teams to manage inventory forecasting, FBA replenishment, and demand planning
• Monitor stock levels, resolve fulfillment issues, and ensure listing availability
Data & Performance Reporting
• Track and analyze key performance indicators (sales, conversion rates, ACoS, organic rank, etc.)
• Generate actionable reports for leadership to guide decision-making
• Leverage tools and dashboards to drive continuous improvement
Brand Building & Compliance
• Protect and enhance the brand's presence through Brand Registry, Amazon Stores, and customer experience
• Ensure adherence to Amazon policies and lead resolution of account health or policy compliance issues
• Monitor reviews, ratings, and customer feedback to support brand integrity
Qualifications:
Education & experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field; MBA preferred
5–8 years of progressive experience in Amazon marketplace management, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or director-level role
Demonstrated success scaling Amazon brands with measurable revenue growth
Skills & Competencies
Expert-level knowledge of Amazon Seller Central, FBA, SEO, PPC, and catalog best practices
Strategic mindset with strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities
Proven ability to manage large-scale campaigns, product portfolios, and cross-border Amazon operations
Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
Results-driven, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced, remote work environment
