Collections Specialist – Insurance & Mortgage Accounts

Job Description:
We are a U.S.-based construction and restoration company seeking a skilled and reliable Remote Collections Specialist. The ideal candidate will have experience following up on payments from insurance carriers and mortgage companies. You’ll work closely with our internal team to ensure funds are collected efficiently and documented properly.

Responsibilities:

Follow up on unpaid invoices with insurance companies and mortgage lenders

Handle loss draft departments and request required documentation

Track claim status and escalate delayed payments

Communicate professionally with clients, carriers, and internal teams

Keep accurate records of all interactions and updates

Assist in resolving payment disputes and coordinating document submissions

Requirements:

MUST have experience in collections (preferably involving insurance or mortgage accounts)

Must speak and write fluent, professional English

Strong understanding of insurance claims and mortgage release processes

Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented

Familiarity with Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs)

Stable internet connection and quiet work environment

Must be available to work during U.S. Central Time hours
