Type: Full-time (40 hours per week) Salary: AUD $10,000 – $17,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications) Annual Leave: 20 days (with 2 weeks to be taken during Christmas shutdown period)
Sick Leave: 5 days paid
Probation Period: 6 Weeks Reports to: Estimating Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking a high-performing Estimating Support Officer with proven technical knowledge in construction, architectural design, or civil engineering. This role is not just administrative — it requires someone who can understand construction drawings, design details, and tender documentation to effectively support our Estimating Manager.
The successful candidate will combine excellent English communication skills with strong technical comprehension, enabling them to liaise confidently with subcontractors, interpret project scopes, and maintain accurate estimating workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and process tender opportunities from clients.

Review and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
•
Organise and structure all tender documentation within URBN’s internal systems.
•
Upload tender documents and manage subcontractor communications via EstimateOne (or other tendering platforms).
•
Engage with subcontractors by phone and

Communicate project requirements clearly.
o
Confirm their intent to quote and ensure understanding of scope.
o
Address questions and provide clarifications as required.
•
Track pricing coverage across trade packages to ensure full scope coverage.
•
Accurately file and categorise subcontractor quotes for review by the Estimating Manager.
•
Support with BOQ take-offs, measurement checks, and data entry where required.
•
Maintain clear communication with the Estimating Manager to meet deadlines and priorities.
Key Skills & Experience:
Essential:
o
Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architectural Design (or significant practical experience in construction estimating/tendering).
o
Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
o
Excellent English communication skills (both written and spoken).
o
Proven experience in tender administration, estimating support, or construction project coordination.
o
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
o
Strong phone communication skills with subcontractors and suppliers.

Desirable:
o
Familiarity with Australian construction industry practices.
o
Proficiency with EstimateOne, Procore, or similar platforms.
o
Strong Excel skills for cost tracking and data entry.
o
Experience working remotely with Australian/Western construction firms.
