Youtube Outlier Script Writer

We’re looking for a talented and creative YouTube script writer who can craft highly engaging, binge-worthy scripts that keep viewers watching until the very last second. The ideal candidate knows how to write powerful hooks, maintain strong pacing, and optimize for YouTube’s algorithm to maximize retention and audience engagement.

Our videos will cover topics like digital products, Etsy, KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing), and design-related skills — often with a focus on showing viewers how they can monetize these skills to earn money online.

Responsibilities:

Write compelling and well-structured scripts for YouTube videos (5–15 minutes)

Craft strong hooks that grab attention in the first 10 seconds

Maintain high viewer retention with engaging storytelling, pacing, and curiosity loops

Research and incorporate relevant trends, stats, and examples to add credibility and interest

Align scripts with YouTube algorithm best practices (CTR, AVD, retention strategies)

Work closely with the video editor/creator to ensure the script flows naturally with visuals

Requirements:

Proven experience writing YouTube scripts or similar content (please provide samples)

Deep understanding of YouTube algorithm, hooks, retention strategies, and audience psychology

Knowledge of digital products, Etsy, KDP, and online business niches

Ability to write in a conversational, engaging tone that feels natural for YouTube

Strong research skills to ensure accuracy and value in the content

Ability to meet deadlines and deliver consistent output

Nice to Have:

Experience with SEO-friendly content

Understanding of YouTube thumbnails/titles and how they work with script hooks

Familiarity with online marketing funnels (lead magnets, CTAs, etc.)
