Senior Accountant-Production Manager

We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant/Production Manager ready to take the next step in their career at our growing public practice firm. This opportunity is a work from home role with flexibility, we service a diverse range of clients, from individuals to small and medium-sized businesses across various industries.

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about achieving the best for themselves whilst making a difference and supporting positive outcomes for our clients.

About the role
The role includes but is not limited to:
• Preparation of Income tax returns, financial statements and business activity statements
• Tax Planning, structure review, and business advisory services
• Assisting with the supervision of offshore accounting team
• Supporting Directors and the broader team with ongoing compliance work project
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients
• Liaising with third parties such as ATO, SRO, lending Institutions, legal Services, Brokers, etc
• Assisting & participating in further development of the Practice’s knowledge and skill base.

Desired Skills & Experience of Successful Applicant
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Australian practice
• Experience with online bookkeeping software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks)
• Experience with FYI desirable but not essential
• Competent understanding and ability to complete financial statements, tax returns, activity statements and financial reports in an autonomous and timely manner
• Solid tax knowledge with the ability to apply it to real-life situations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills is imperative
• Ability to work in a team and a willingness to learn as well as contribute.
