SEO Content Writer (AI-Assisted) – Part-Time

About the Role
We’re looking for a part-time SEO Content Writer who can produce long-form, search-optimised articles (800–2,500 words) and repurpose them into engaging social media posts. This role requires strong SEO knowledge, adaptability to different brand voices, and comfort working with AI writing tools to speed up drafting while maintaining quality, accuracy, and originality.

Responsibilities
Research keywords/topics and create briefs, outlines, and long-form articles.
Optimise content for SEO (headings, meta tags, internal linking, E-E-A-T).
Repurpose content into short social posts for LinkedIn/FB/IG.
Maintain brand voice/style guide, ensuring factual accuracy.
Coordinate with SEO, design, and client-service teams; publish to CMS (WordPress/Shopify).

Requirements
5+ years of SEO content writing (agency or in-house).
Proven experience with long-form writing, keyword research, and content strategy.
Familiarity with AI writing/optimisation tools (ChatGPT, SurferSEO, Clearscope, etc.).
Strong grammar, structure, and ability to adapt to NZ/AU English.
CMS experience (WordPress AND Shopify) IF NO EXPERIENCE ON BOTH, YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED. THIS HAS TO REFLECT ON YOUR CV.
Able to work across industries (B2B, e-commerce, construction, travel, etc.).

Work Setup & Compensation
Part-time: ~20–25 hrs/week, with at least 4 hrs/day overlap (Mon–Fri, 11:00–15:00 NZT).
Long-term ongoing role, with likely upgrade to full-time.

KPIs:
Output: 20+ long-form articles/month.
Impact: Improved keyword rankings, impressions, and CTRs.

Application Process
Submit: 2 long-form portfolio samples, 1 content brief, and 2 social post repurposes.
Short paid test: 800–1,200-word article + 3 repurposed social posts, including keyword map and internal linking suggestions.

AI Policy
AI tools are encouraged for speed and ideation. Final outputs must always be human-edited, accurate, original, and aligned to brand voice.
