Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing financial systems, preparing accounts, and supporting business planning processes. You will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting growth planning, and setting up efficient accounting structures.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and maintain accounting software packages (Xero, QuickBooks), including configuration of cost centres and reporting structures.

Perform reconciliations of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Prepare accounts up to trial balance.

Develop financial forecasts, budgets, and cash flow projections.

Support the preparation of detailed business plans and financial models.

Provide insights and recommendations to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Desirable Experience

Experience in dental billing or working within the healthcare sector.

Strong Excel skills and ability to interpret financial data clearly.

Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications & Skills

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).

Proven experience with Xero and/or QuickBooks.

Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
